Pad Thai is stir-fry dish made with rice noodles, shrimp, chicken, or tofu, peanuts, a scrambled egg and bean sprouts.
Ingredients:– 8 oz flat rice noodles– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil– 2 cloves garlic, minced– 1 cup firm tofu, cubed– 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined (optional)– 2 eggs, lightly beaten– 1 cup bean sprouts– 4 green onions, sliced– 1/4 cup crushed peanuts– Lime wedges for serving
For the sauce:– 3 tablespoons fish sauce– 1 tablespoon tamarind paste– 1 tablespoon soy sauce– 1 tablespoon sugar– 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)
