Pad Thai is stir-fry dish made with rice noodles, shrimp, chicken, or tofu, peanuts, a scrambled egg and bean sprouts.

Ingredients: – 8 oz flat rice noodles – 2 tablespoons vegetable oil – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 1 cup firm tofu, cubed – 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined (optional) – 2 eggs, lightly beaten – 1 cup bean sprouts – 4 green onions, sliced – 1/4 cup crushed peanuts – Lime wedges for serving

For the sauce: – 3 tablespoons fish sauce – 1 tablespoon tamarind paste – 1 tablespoon soy sauce – 1 tablespoon sugar – 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)
